This year new Moon occurs on August 11 and will be absent during the Perseid’s peak period, making it the most memorable meteor shower of 2018.
8月11日が新月で、流星群が極大を迎える時に月は見えなくなるため、今年最も記憶に残る流星群を見ることができるでしょう。

観測の場所や条件

Skywatchers in the northern hemisphere will have the best view of the meteor shower.
北半球のスカイウォッチャーたちが最高な流星群の観測ができるでしょう。

Head for a dark area with little light pollution, such as the countryside or the suburbs.
田舎や郊外の光害の少ない暗い場所に移動（して観測）することをおすすめします。

彗星との関係

Every year, from around July 17 to August 24, Comet Swift-Tuttle passes by earth.
毎年7月17日から8月24日の間、スイフト・タットル彗星が地球の近くを通過します。

As the comet passes, it releases small pieces of debris, that slam into the Earth’s upper atmosphere, producing a bright light that can be seen from Earth.
彗星が通過すると、小さな破片を放出しそれらが地球の上層大気にぶつかり、地球から見える明るい光を作ります。
